What are Tube & Pipe Notchers
Tube and Pipe Notchers are most popular in the railing and ornamental gates industry but are also used by pipe welders, welding shops and even oil riggers. Schedule 40 Pipe Pipe Notchers’ versatility and quickness save time and the need to grind or sand the pipe or tube which saves in labour costs. Schedule 40 Pipe notching is most often performed before joining tubes together to make a T or similar joint, also known as “saddle”. Either one or both pipes/tubes may be notched before being welded together. End notching is the process of forming a cut on the end of a tube to create a shape that will mate to an existing tube.
